Alsco pride themselves on providing convenient and cost-effective rental services to more than 27,000 businesses across New Zealand. Tailored service programmes, a wide range of expertise, and top-notch service has kept them a step ahead of the competition for more than 100 years.
Alsco operates from 23 sites nationwide, providing a professional service with a focus on positive and friendly customer interactions from their local teams. Over 100 people all up.
Operating sustainably is a key Alsco goal, achieved through initiatives such as energy efficiency, wastewater reduction, innovative reusable bags to reduce plastics, and a history of making generous donations.
Recently, their Dunedin branch invested $2.2 million in a new Continuous Batch Washer. The new washer saw a 30% reduction in water consumption plus significant productivity improvements for the team. Other initiatives include reducing plastic waste by utilising reusable bags to pack-out linen such as sheets and pillowcases.

Alsco also have a gifting programme that has been running for over 10 years. Run by a team of volunteer Ambassadors, the generous programme currently supports more than 40 charities by providing products that have reached the end of their commercial life but are still useful, and far too good to be sent to landfill. Examples are sheets and towels, rejected due to the extremely high quality standards sought after by hospitality industry, but readily accepted by organisations like Shine, Healthy Homes, City Mission and many others. First Aid products that have reached their nominal expiry date are repurposed into kits supplied to the needy, both in NZ and throughout the Pacific Islands.
